The Amsterdam Rates Business comprises Government Bond Trading, Interest Rate Derivatives Trading, FX Forward Trading and Repo Trading & Sales activities.

- Master degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, or another field of quantitative education.
- English language is a must
- A winners mentality
- Affinity with quantitative finance techniques and mathematical finance
- Dept knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new concepts
- Flexible, stress resistant and result oriented.
- You feel comfortable interacting with trading and model developers. To this respect good communication skills and the ability to work in a highly specialised team are essential.

- Follows, interprets and analyses developments within international financial markets in order to make a profit by trading.
- Advises the Principal Trader about commercial developments within his own market.
- Quickly assesses supply and demand in different markets in relation to his own frame of reference and in relation to expectations of the price level.
- Determines the best moment to close a deal.
- Liaises with and communicates to (international) banks, broker dealers, interdealer brokers and ING Bank on business issues.
- Develops and maintains an international network of colleagues in order to enhance professionalism and to create support for making efficient transactions.
- Informs responsible management about positions and results in order to realise commercial targets.
